My journey as an artist began in my hometown in Indiana where I found myself constantly drawing, painting and watching my surroundings for visual interest. As a student I relocated to Denver as well as Durango, Colorado. After living in the Durango for many years I settled in New Mexico in 1985 where I currently reside. I am a captive of the overwhelming beauty of the Southwest!

While I was a resident in southwest Colorado, I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from Fort Lewis College. I have an extensive background in various fine art media including leather, ceramics, watercolor painting and oil painting. My current work includes oil and watercolor paintings.

My commitment to the longevity of my work has required me to use permanent pigments and archival materials in most of my paintings. Unless I have stated otherwise I have framed all work listed on this site to ensure this same high standard of quality.
